"NIght" response

Knowing that people die because of there religion and race makes me sick. Elie, his father and all the other Jews are a couple of steps away from a pit of fire. Imagine two ways to die, thats what Elie was saying, he wanted to run towards an electric fence rather than being burned alive. Everyone thought wrong, I was full of relief that they only had to throw their clothes in the pit and get raggedy clothes with numbers on them. I feel sorry for them because now they don't use there old names, there new names are the numbers on there clothes, and they do roll call everyday. At least Elie and his father met their uncle, but Elie had to lie about getting letters from Stein's wife and that there fine. 

   Every now and then Stein gives Elie food and tells his that "Elie is weak and dried up". The Jews have to share a bed with some one,  at night people sing and Akiba Drummer says that "God is testing them" and "dominate our base instinct and kill Satan within us." It's sad that Elie can't be with his mom and sister. People should not be allowed to go through all of this even a child. Not knowing if you'll live or not and wondering about your family is scaring.
